Update on Foreign Visitors Visa Policies

The Government of Indonesia has issued the Letter of Director General of Immigration No. IMI 0549.GR.01.01 of 2022 which comes into effect on 6 April 2022, regarding Ease of Immigration in Order to Support Sustainable Tourism During the 2019 CoronaVirus Disease Pandemic.

Which previously the port of entry is only through Ngurah Rai - Bali, now has expanded to 19 ports of entry, as follows:

With this new policy, foreigners from 9 ASEAN countries can enter visa-free with Visa Exemption Arrangement Facility Holders (“VEAFH”), while special Visa on Arrival ("VoA") are given to foreigners from 43 countries, as follows:

Visa Extension

Through this new policy, it is possible to obtain a Stay Permit originating from VoA with a maximum period of 30 (thirty) days, and can be extended for a maximum of 1 (one) time extension. As for the VEAFH, it is not extendable.
