Regulation of Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 65 of 2019. Shipping Agency Business Operation and Organization: Simplification of Business Licensing in Ship Agency

The Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, on 16 October 2019 issued new regulation regarding Shipping Agency Business Operation and Organization (“PM 65/2019”) that aim to simplifies business licensing in shipping agencies and integrate with Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
PM 65/2019 simultaneously revoked the previous regulation name Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 11 Year 2016 concerning Shipping Agency Business Operation and Organization dated 18 January 2019 (“PM 11/2016”).
Moreover, in PM 65/2019 there are new rules regarding the appointment of national ship agency by the Master of foreign vessel in emergency situation.
Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan Republik Indonesia Nomor Pm 65 Tahun 2019 Tentang Penyelenggaraan Dan Pengusahaan Keagenan Kapal: Penyederhanaan Perizinan Usaha Di Bidang Keagenan Kapal
Menteri Perhubungan Republik Indonesia, pada tanggal 16 Oktober 2019 menerbitkan aturan baru mengenai Penyelenggaraan dan Pengusahaan Keagenan Kapal (“PM 65/2019”) yang bertujuan untuk menyederhanakan perizinan usaha di bidang keagenan kapal dan berintegrasi dengan sistem perizinan melalui Online Single Submission (OSS).
PM 65/2019 tersebut sekaligus mencabut aturan sebelumnya yaitu Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan Nomor 11 Tahun 2016 tentang Penyelenggaraan dan Pengusahaan Keagenan Kapal tanggal 18 January 2016 (“PM 11/2016”).
Selain itu dalam PM 65/2019 terdapat aturan baru mengenai penunjukan agen kapal nasional oleh Nakhoda kapal asing dalam keadaan darurat.
