The Implementation of the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 17 of 2021 Concerning Reputable Exporters and Importers

To provide support to the trade sector, the Government provides facilities to ease the process of export and import activities to reputable exporters and importers.

This facility is contained in the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 17 of 2021 concerning Reputable Exporters and Importers (“MoT Reg 17/2021”) which has been effective since June 1 of 2021 as the implementing regulation of Government Regulation Number 29 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of the Trade Sector (“GR 29/2021”).

In this ARMA Update, we will discuss the general overview of Reputable Exporters and Importers including its definition, the advantages of the status, the criteria and process of the status determination up to the suspension and revocation of the status as regulated in the MoT Reg 17/2021.

Dalam rangka memberikan dukungan terhadap penyelenggaraan bidang perdagangan, Pemerintah memberikan fasilitas kemudahan untuk melakukan kegiatan ekspor dan impor kepada para eksportir dan importir yang bereputasi baik.

Fasilitas ini tertuang dalam Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan Nomor 17 Tahun 2021 tentang Eksportir dan Importir yang Bereputasi Baik (“Permendag 17/2021”) yang telah berlaku sejak tanggal 1 Juni 2021 sebagai peraturan pelaksana dari Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 29 Tahun 2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Bidang Perdagangan (“PP 29/2021”).

Pada ARMA Update ini, kami akan membahas mengenai gambaran umum mengenai Eksportir dan Importir Bereputasi Baik termasuk terkait definisi, kemudahan yang didapatkan, kriteria dan proses penetapan hingga mengenai pembekuan dan pencabutan status sebagaimana diatur dalam Permendag 17/2021.
