Issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 13 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Security, Safety, and Law Enforcement in Indonesian Territorial Waters

On March 11, 2022, the Government of Indonesia officially passed the Presidential Regulation No. 13 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Security, Safety, and Law Enforcement in Indonesian Territorial Waters. This regulation was issued to reaffirm security, safety, and law enforcement in order to maintain state sovereignty, legal certainty, and to improve law enforcement in Indonesian territorial waters and Indonesian jurisdictions.

This ARMA Update will discuss the development of regulations regarding the implementation of law enforcement in Indonesian territorial waters and provide a clear picture of the law enforcement mechanisms in the Archipelago Sea of Indonesia and the impact on the existence of other marine law enforcement agencies.

Penerbitan Peraturan Presiden Nomor 13 Tahun 2022 tentang Penyelenggaraan Keamanan, Keselamatan dan Penegakan Hukum di Wilayah Perairan Indonesia

Pada tanggal 11 Maret 2022, Pemerintah Indonesia resmi mengesahkan Peraturan Presiden No. 13 Tahun 2022 tentang Penyelenggaraan Keamanan, Keselamatan dan Penegakan Hukum di Wilayah Perairan Indonesia. Peraturan tersebut dikeluarkan untuk mewujudkan keamanan, keselamatan, dan penegakan hukum guna menjaga kedaulatan negara, kepastian hukum, dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat diperlukan mengenai keamanan, keselamatan, dan penegakan hukum di wilayah perairan Indonesia dan wilayah yurisdiksi Indonesia.

ARMA Update ini akan membahas mengenai perkembangan peraturan mengenai penyelenggaraan penegakan hukum di wilayah perairan Indonesia serta memberikan gambaran jelas terhadap mekanisme penegakan hukum di laut nusantara dan dampak terhadap keberadaan lembaga-lembaga penegak hukum laut lainnya.
