The Development of the Implementation of Crypto Asset Trading in BAPPEBTI
Regulation Number 8 of 2021
The Government of Indonesia officially ratified the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory
Agency (Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi or “BAPPEBTI”) Regulation Number 8 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Physical Market of Crypto Assets in Futures Exchange (“BAPPEBTI Reg 8/2021”) which further elaborates regarding legal certainty and protection for the community in transacting crypto assets including meeting future market needs that are able to provide further development of the crypto asset business in Indonesia.
In this ARMA update, we will discuss certain essential components and the development of regulations regarding crypto asset trading on the futures market after the revoking of the previous 4 (four) regulations, which currently only leaves two technical regulations in the field of physical futures trading of crypto assets, namely BAPPEBTI Reg 8/2021 and the Head of BAPPEBTI Regulation Number 7 of 2020.

Perkembangan Penyelenggaraan Perdagangan Crypto Asset dalam Peraturan Bappepti Nomor 8 Tahun 2021
Pemerintah Indonesia secara resmi telah mengesahkan Peraturan Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi Nomor 8 Tahun 2021 tentang Pedoman Penyelenggaraan Perdagangan Pasar Fisik Aset Kripto di Bursa Berjangka (“Perbappebti 8/2021”) yang lebih lanjut menjabarkan mengenai kepastian dan perlindungan hukum bagi masyarakat dalam bertransaksi Aset Kripto termasuk memenuhi kebutuhan pasar di masa mendatang yang mampu memberikan pengembangan lebih lanjut dari bisnis aset kripto di Indonesia.
Pada update ARMA kali ini, kami akan membahas mengenai komponen-komponen penting dan perkembangan regulasi mengenai perdagangan aset kripto di pasar berjangka setelah dicabutnya 4 (empat) regulasi sebelumnya, yang saat ini hanya menyisakan dua regulasi teknis di bidang perdagangan berjangka fisik aset kripto, yaitu Perbappebti 8/2021 dan Peraturan Kepala Bappebti Nomor 7 Tahun 2020.
