Government Regulation Number 8 of 2021: Sole Proprietorship and Companies that Meet the Criteria for Micro and Small Businesses (UMKM)
After the enactment of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (or known as the “Omnibus Law“) in November 2020, businesses are now increasingly given the ease of investing in Indonesia, especially related to the Micro and Small Business sector, with the issuance of Government Regulation No. 8 of 2021 concerning The Company’s Authorized Capital and the Registration of Establishment, Change, and Dissolution of Companies that Meet the Criteria for Micro and Small Businesses (“GR 8/2021“).
PP 8/2021 classifies companies that meet the criteria of Micro and Small, namely in the form of a Company and the latest form, namely Sole Proprietorship.
ARMA updates will discuss the overview of GR 8/2021 and focus on some basic information related to the new types of legal entities introduced by the government in the form of Sole Proprietorship and new regulations regarding Company that meet the criteria for micro and small businesses.

Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 8 Tahun 2021: Perseroan Perseorangan dan Perseroan yang Memenuhi Kriteria untuk Usaha Mikro dan Kecil
Setelah diungkapkannya Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2020 tentang Cipta Kerja (atau yang dikenal dengan “Omnibus Law”) pada November 2020 silam, pelaku usaha kini semakin diberikan kemudahan dalam berinvestasi di Indonesia khususnya terkait sektor Usaha Mikro dan Kecil, seiring dengan diterbitkannya Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 8 Tahun 2021 tentang Modal Dasar Perseroan serta Pendaftaran Pendirian, Perubahan, dan Pembubaran Perseroan yang Memenuhi Kriteria untuk Usaha Mikro dan Kecil (“PP 8/2021”).
PP 8/2021 membedakan Perseroan yang memenuhi kriteria Mikro dan Kecil, yakni dalam bentuk Perseroan dan dalam bentuk terbaru yaitu Perusahaan Perorangan.
ARMA updates ini akan membahas gambaran umum dari PP 8/2021 serta memfokuskan pada beberapa informasi dasar terkait dengan jenis badan hukum baru yang diperkenalkan oleh pemerintah berupa Perseroan Perseorangan dan pengaturan baru terhadap Perseroan dengan kriteria usaha mikro dan kecil.
