The Government Regulation on the Implementation of Mineral and Coal Business Activities
On 9 September 2021, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has issued the Government Regulation No. 96 of 2021 on the Implementation of Mineral and Coal Mining Business Activities (“GR 96/2021”). GR 96/2021 is issued as the implementation to Law No. 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining which was last amended by Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation.
This ARMA Update will discuss the overview of GR 96/2021 and some information related to the mining business licensing and provisions on share divestment.

Peraturan Pemerintah Terkait Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Usaha Pertambangan Mineral dan Batubara
Pada tanggal 9 September 2021, Pemerintah Republik Indonesia telah menerbitkan Peraturan Pemerintah No. 96 Tahun 2021 Tentang Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Usaha Pertambangan Mineral dan Batubara (“PP No 96 Tahun 2021”). PP 96/2021 ini dikeluarkan sebagai implementasi dari Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2009 tentang Pertambangan Mineral dan Batubara yang terakhir diubah dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2020 tentang Cipta Kerja.
